Carl Zeiss Jena Deltrintem 8X30 Binoculars Serial Numbers
My father gave me these bins some 20 years ago, they have been rattling around my cars ever since. I was going to get them cleaned up, but I am not so sure they are real now. There is no serial number, and the '8x30' text is outside the box, not inside. The leather case is black and not brown.

Any thoughts out there? Here is a pic where the '8x30' text is outside the box lines. The silver streak in the box is etched out, not paint. The text in the center hinge washer(?) says 'GERMANY' just above the screw. Nothing else I can detect. Thanks for any insight. Thermocalc cracked.
